The full table, and where each fact comes from, is below.
| Wakeman | My AI Front Desk | |
|---|---|---|
| Plans | Starter $49 (100 min) · Pro $149 (500 min) · Max $399 (1,500 min). Every plan answers day and night; any plan can be set to answer only while you are closed. | Business-in-a-Box $99 a month, or $79 a month billed yearly: 200 voice minutes, plus chat, text and email allowances. Partner and Enterprise plans are custom |
| What is counted | Minutes: each call is rounded up to the next whole minute | Voice minutes, then credits (1 credit is 1¢) shared by calls, texts, chat and forms |
| Over your allowance | $0.45 / $0.35 / $0.29 a minute by plan, published, with a monthly spending limit you set | 25¢ a voice minute, from a monthly pool of 1,000 credits; with auto-reload on, 1,000 more credits cost $10 |
| Urgent calls | Gas, carbon monoxide, a downed power line, fire or smoke, a medical emergency, a child or pet locked in a car, water near electrics, a structural collapse, major flooding and sewage inside: safety steps, then Wakeman tries your on-call phone during the call. No heat, no cooling or a leak that can’t wait is urgent and texted at once. A safety net, not 911 | Its plumbing and HVAC guide: a gas smell is warm-transferred to your on-call tech, then a backup and a manager if no one answers; the caller is told to leave and call emergency services if it seems unsafe |
| A person when needed | Puts the caller through to your own people: your on-call phone, then the owner’s if nobody picks up. It does this on a dangerous call, a complaint or an angry caller, or when someone asks for a person twice. The AI answers every call; there’s no call center | Transfers to the person your rules name, such as your on-call tech |
| Booking | Off until you turn it on. Then it offers only the time windows you choose, so you decide what a caller can be booked into, and on Pro and Max each booked job lands in Jobber with the customer and the checked address. It doesn’t read your Jobber calendar | Reads your calendar, offers open times and books; Google Calendar, Outlook, Calendly and others |
| Field-service software | Jobber, built in on Pro and Max. Housecall Pro is not generally available yet | Zapier on every plan; its pricing and HVAC pages don’t name Jobber, ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro |
| Languages | English | 20+ languages; it detects the caller’s language |
| Built for | Home-service trades only: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, restoration and their neighbours | Many kinds of business, led by property management and retail, with pages for HVAC and plumbing |
| Contract | No minimum term; cancel in the billing portal. The first month’s payment is refunded in full if you ask within 30 days | No contract; cancel any time |
| How you start | Free for 14 days or 500 minutes, whichever comes first. You pick a plan at sign-up; nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can change the plan or cancel before then | 7-day free trial |

Yes. myaifrontdesk.com now calls its product Frontdesk: an AI receptionist for calls, texts, email and chat, sold to property managers, shops and other businesses. Wakeman is a separate company, built only for home-service trades.
Frontdesk’s Business-in-a-Box is $99 a month, or $79 a month billed yearly, with 200 voice minutes; each extra minute is 25¢ in credits, and the same credits pay for texts, chat and forms. Wakeman’s plans are Starter $49, Pro $149, Max $399 a month with minutes included, a published price for each extra minute, and spam never billed. Wakeman is free for 14 days or 500 minutes, with nothing charged until the trial ends.
Its plumbing and HVAC guide says a gas smell is warm-transferred to your on-call tech, then to a backup and a manager if no one answers, and the caller is told to leave and call emergency services if it seems unsafe. Wakeman has safety steps written in advance for gas, carbon monoxide, a downed power line, fire or smoke, a medical emergency, a child or pet locked in a car, water near electrics, a structural collapse, major flooding and sewage inside, says them on the call, and tries your on-call phone while the caller is still on the line. Neither replaces 911.
Its pricing page says every plan connects to calendars, CRMs and other apps through Zapier; its pricing and HVAC pages don’t name Jobber, ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro. Wakeman writes booked jobs into Jobber on Pro and Max, once you switch booking on.
