Wakeman answers a business's inbound calls, triages them, books appointments, and writes them into that business's own systems. It is a tool operated on their behalf, under their name.
We do not guarantee that every call is answered, booked correctly, or transcribed accurately. Telephony carriers fail, speech recognition mishears, and language models make mistakes. A business remains responsible for the work it dispatches and the commitments made to its customers.
We are explicit about this because the alternative — implying the system is infallible — is both untrue and the reason to check the call log every morning.
The agent detects likely life-safety situations — gas, carbon monoxide, fire, water near electrical — and reads a fixed safety instruction telling the caller to leave and call 911, then alerts whoever is on call. This is a safety net, not an emergency service. It is not a substitute for 911, and it can miss things.
A business must keep somebody reachable as the on-call contact. We will not let an account go live without one.
Keep the agent's configuration accurate — what you do, what you don't, where you go, and what you charge. It says what you tell it to say.
Do not use Wakeman for outbound marketing calls or texts. It is built for inbound calls to your own published number, and the rules for outbound are entirely different.
Register for A2P 10DLC messaging where required, so the texts we send on your behalf deliver.
Plans are monthly and cancel in one click, effective at the end of the current period. Included minutes reset each period and do not roll over.
Minutes past your bundle bill at the published per-minute rate. Calls we classify as spam are never billed.
You set a hard monthly cap. When you hit it we stop answering and forward your line to your mobile — you keep receiving calls, they simply stop costing anything. We will never exceed your cap without you raising it.
You can leave whenever you like and take your data with you. The phone number we issued is ours; the number you already had is yours and always was — we never port it away from you at signup, precisely so leaving is easy.
This is a plain-English starting point, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it before launch — call recording and AI disclosure rules differ by state, and getting them wrong carries statutory damages per call.
A wakeman was the night watchman who stayed up so the town could sleep.
