Rosie is a well-made AI answering service for small businesses of every kind — more than 2,000 of them, by its own count — from $49 a month, in English and Spanish. Wakeman is built only for home-service trades and starts at $149. If price and Spanish decide it, choose Rosie. If the 2am gas smell and booked jobs landing in Jobber decide it, read on.

Choose Rosie if

- A real share of your callers speak Spanish — Rosie answers in Spanish on every plan today.
- You are a Home Depot Pro and the partner offer is running: the first two months are free.
- You are in Canada.
Choose Wakeman if
- A gas smell or water pouring in at 2am should alert your on-call phone while the caller is still on the line.
- You run Jobber and want booked jobs written straight into it, not through Zapier.
- You would rather pay a published per-minute rate for a busy week than be moved up a plan.
- You run a 2–15 truck plumbing, HVAC or electrical shop and want a product built only for that.

Is Rosie cheaper than Wakeman?
Yes. Rosie's Scale plan is $149 a month for 1,000 minutes; Wakeman's Front Desk is $349 for 750. If price per minute decides it, Rosie wins, and we would rather you hear that here than find it out after signing up.
Does Rosie work with Jobber?
Through Zapier. Rosie's pricing page says direct connections to job software are in the works. Wakeman puts confirmed jobs straight into Jobber when you turn booking on.
Does Wakeman answer in Spanish?
Not as a supported feature today, and we will not sell it until our emergency rules understand Spanish as well as they understand English. Rosie answers in English and Spanish on every plan.
What happens when I go over my minutes?
On Rosie there is no per-minute charge: you are moved up to the next plan at its full price until you move back down. On Wakeman each plan has a published price for each extra minute, and you set a monthly spending limit.
Is Rosie's Home Depot offer real?
Yes. Home Depot's newsroom announced in July 2026 that Pro Xtra members get a 7-day trial plus two months free on Rosie's Professional or Scale plan. Home Depot refreshes its partner offers quarterly, so check it is still running before you count on it.
