Forward missed calls on a Samsung Galaxy

The Phone app has a setting for only the calls you don’t answer, so your phone still rings first.

Turn it on

Where it is

  1. Phone app
  2. More options (⋮)
  3. Settings
  4. Supplementary services
  5. Call forwarding
  1. If the phone has two SIMs, pick the business line. Then tap Voice calls.

  2. Tap Forward when unanswered.

  3. Enter the answering number and tap Enable.

  • Menus differ a little from phone to phone, and between phone companies.
  • Don’t see Supplementary services? Your phone company may use a code instead: pick it below.

Turn it off

Open the same screen, tap Forward when unanswered, then tap Disable.

Or use your phone company’s code

The code does the same thing, and works when the setting isn’t there. Pick your company:

Test it

  1. Call your business number from a different phone

Not the answering number. That only tests the answering service.

  2. Let it ring. Don’t press decline.

Declining can count as busy, which is a different setting.

  3. Check who answered

Your answering service should pick up. If your voicemail answers, forwarding isn’t on yet.
